NextCare’s Celebrates 30 Years of Urgent Care Excellence

TEMPE, ARIZ (October 2023) – NextCare is turning 30! In 1993, NextCare started with one lone clinic in Mesa, Arizona. With time and perseverance, it has become a leader in urgent care, virtual care and occupational health services. Furthermore, what really matters is what is coming next.
NextCare Celebrates 30 years with a footprint of 170 plus locations across 12 states. As a leader in high access health care, NextCare is taking steps to accomplish this with a new mobile application, hybrid care settings and using a technologically driven mindset to advance the healthcare industry.
Derek Newell, the CEO, is inspired by the opportunity to lead this endeavor. He wants the hardest workers, the most creative minds, and the most caring individuals on his team. Derek has stated, “I am excited to push the boundaries of what healthcare can be. I want to use technology to broaden the scope of patient visits and create efficiencies that make treatment convenient and affordable. I hope to make healthcare more obtainable to anyone who needs it and to create a safe and inviting place for that to happen.” It will be intriguing to see what is to come for NextCare in the next 30 years.
Rosa Fulford, Accounts Payable Manager, has been with NextCare for almost all 30 years! Looking at her time with the company this is what Rosa had to say, “When I first started working at NextCare, we had 4 clinics, we now have over 170. That is a HUGE success not only for NextCare but for me personally. I have been a part of the success as well as the process and growth. For me that is priceless! In my position, each day presents a new challenge and learning opportunity.
