Covid-19 Considerations

At our clinics, your safety and health is our number one priority. We are now offering a variety of treatment and diagnostic options related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

 

ATTENTION PATIENTS – NextCare is diligently working to maintain COVID-19 testing supplies to offer both rapid and send out specimen collection testing services. Due to ongoing demand and limited supplies NextCare cannot guarantee this service will be available at every location. NextCare will only administer this service when a provider determines it necessary and resources are available to perform the testing  service.  To identify clinics with available testing, please look for the testing icons on the clinic’s location page. 

 

Our clinics continue to experience a surge in demand. Due to high volumes many of the reference labs used for COVID-19 specimen collection and antibody testing are experiencing delays in providing our clinics with test results. Please be advised we will communicate results as soon as our reference labs have provided them to us. In the event that we cannot reach you by phone with your results, a letter will be mailed to the address provided during registration.

****THINGS HAVE CHANGED!!!!****Took my son in with neck pain and hoarseness. He stated his throat hurted at the bottom of his neck, not the back of his throat. The PA says he wants to swab for strep. Which was ok to rule it out. But the area swabbed was not where the problem was. Again, it was the bottom of his neck where the two clavicle bones almost meet. Well, the PA never comes back into the room with results or a plan of care. He sent the MA in there to tell us it was negative and gave us prescriptions with no explanation or options. He did not offer an x-ray to see if there was a small foreign object there or offer any other peace of mind. Of course, the MA gives the famous I don't know the answer, so let me make up something remark, "Oh, it's probably allergies." That's the go-to answer when they don't have a clue and don't have enough compassion to try and help you figure it out. You can't give that answer to another medical professional. This was a waste of $40 co pay. Lidocaine Viscous and naproxen.... Really???? ABSOLUTELY careless. These people need to find another profession because they are just there to collect a paycheck. None of them there this evening was impressive! From the lack-Lustre greeting when you walk in, to the no goodbye when you walk out, because they are too busy conversating about nothing business related!!! ABSOLUTELY piss pour customer service! I have received better care at the car wash vs. here. This is really heartbreaking as I always come here for my Urgent Care needs. Now I have to take my business else where. Not to mention, I have to go to an ER for help now. What a waste of time and money. Please put people in there that actually love their job, have compassion, and actually treat people with dignity and respect! TREAT PEOPLE HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED, BECAUSE IT WILL COME BACK FULL CIRCLE!!!***UPDATE ***I ended up taking my son to Children's Methodist Hospital the next day, and he had FLU B. He was so sick that he missed a whole week of school.BE WARE OF THIS URGENT CARE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

I go here as needed. The nurses are excellent. But the time waiting and processing is a lot. An hour to tell me I have covid when the rest takes 10 minutes. You guys gotta get people out faster. Maybe have more than one doc on duty. That's the hang up in the wait time. Everything else goes fast.

Staff was attentive and professional. Restroom was filthy with no soap. When reported, attendant at front desk simply locked it.

I am so happy to have a place to go to get help and answers. I’m kinda technically challenged with the apps and sweet angels helped me. I took a tumble, and as a person who is aging, not so gracefully, it’s really nice to know ever so quickly that nothing is broken or cracked. Ice packs and ibuprofen, I can handle that. Good health and prosperity to us all.

I have been seen at this clinic on multiple occasions for one need or another, and their service has been simply fantastic. The staff is professional and caring. However, my visit yesterday seemed a little lackluster. While everyone was professional and did their job, I felt something was off. I waited almost 20 minutes for my appointment time. Can’t put my finger on it but they definitely need an energy boost. Still, I got my treatment and I’m on my way to recovery. Reflection: praying for them as I’m sure they get tired too.

I recently visited NextCare Urgent Care and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The staff was incredibly professional, making me feel welcome and at ease right from the start. Today there was only one provider. The visit with the provider went well. But, the wait time was one hour and 35 minutes from my scheduled 1145 appointment. Too long of a wait. The front desk clerk should at least know the wait times and provide that information to the patients or parents of younger patients with appointments and to walk-ins with no scheduled appointments. Clerk can try and monitor those wait times by timing a patient from check in to check out. Remember some patients issues can take more time than others, wait times can be longer. At least let the patient make the decision to stay, go elsewhere or come back the next day if issue is not serious. I did hear some very frustrated patients. You can even tell patients that are continuing to wait if the times are longer or shorter to wait. I almost left myself. It’s all about customer service and yes patients are customers too. The 5 stars is for the providers see, not anything else.

They took care of my daughter right away! In less than two hours as a new patient! The staff that took care of her was very caring. They took the time to make sure they answered all our questions. Also I love that they send you texts to check on you in case you need a follow up appointment. Very clean facilities too.

The wait alone took 2 hours before the doctor came to see me. When he came in, he only checked my ears, said I had an ear infection and prescribed me several medications. And none of them worked! They didn’t even help. I took them for two weeks with no sign of my symptoms letting up.Thankfully I had leftover antibiotics (which oddly enough I wasn’t prescribed for my supposed ear infection) and after two days of taking them I felt so much better. Never going back. Just thought I’d try something different other than Texas med clinic but I would not recommend this place. The plus side is that they were nice and gave my daughter a lollipop which she had to eat there because we waited for 2 hours in the exam room.
