NextCare is proud to announce the acquisition of Michigan Urgent Care (MUC) and its nine clinics throughout the Southeast portion of the state. The acquisition of these nine facilities brings the total number of NextCare-operated clinics to 147 in 11 states.
Michigan Urgent Care was founded in 1998 by Dr. Mohammed Arsiwala and was designed to support the primary care physician network. Before the acquisition, MUC was one of the largest physician-owned chain of urgent cares in Southeast Michigan, operating in nine different cities.
“For 22 years I have owned and operated Michigan Urgent Care, providing quality clinical care with evidence based medicine and compassion in southeast Michigan. My passion to provide international medical missions by helping people in Africa, Afghanistan and India via my HELP FOUNDATION has led to me to make this hard decision to step down as president of MUC and turn over ownership to a very reputable and national organization, Next Care Holdings”, commented Dr. Mohammed Arsiwala.
